Nanyuki
General Information
Nanyuki is situated in the Central region of Kenya, and is the country's most important air force base. There is a large training centre here maintained by the British Army.
Nanyuki is a non-assuming town which holds all the necessary facilities that visitors would require. Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy is well-worth a visit when passing through Nanyuki. This forms part of the impressive Mount Kenya Safari Club but welcomes visitors.
The conservancy holds the world's largest herd of captive-born Mountain Bongo - endangered and strikingly marked antelope. There are other species for visitors to see such as the Colobus Monkey, Eland, Caracal and the Crowned Crane.
