Nakuru
General Information
Nakuru is located in the Rift Valley of Kenya and is its forth largest city. This is not a big tourist city, visitors instead prefer to head straight to Lake Nakuru National Park. Nakuru is pretty, especially in November when the avenues are lined with Jacaranda trees with a mountainous view in the background and is known for its flamingos.
Apart from the national park, Nakuru also offers sites such as the Hyrax Hill Prehistoric Site and the Menengai Crater. It has grown into a multinational city, with dairy, coffee and crops being its main industries.
