Forodhani House is a beautifull beachfront Holiday House situated at the beginning of Shella Beach, the very spot where decades ago a watch-post stood (Forodhani means watch-post in Kiswahili) controlling the to and fro of boats entering and leaving Lamu Island.

That’s the first thing which will make your stay here so special : you are on the beach, some meters from Shella Village and Peponi Terrace, with stunning 270° sea-views on Indian Ocean, from Lamu Old Town to Manda and Shella Beach.

Here you will relax fully, get lulled by the lapping waves, pamper yourself with good cooking, massages and yoga, enjoy the 12kms long pristine white sand beach and its activities… sailing, swimming, snorkelling, kite, windsurf, wakeboard or waterski, fishing… you can also explore, discover Lamu Old Town, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and Shella Village, experience the rich Swahili culture and its very welcoming atmosphere... And take the most of Nature, which is truly at its best.
